We'd been teased with news of it's arrival, only to be heart broken. We've seen pre-orders on foreign sites, very sketchy on detail and low on images...


Now we get the hat tip from Killertoys.com on the pre-order and the go ahead from Diamond to spread the good word.

This is the Sandcrawler Vehicle used on the desert planet of Tattooine in the original Star Wars film that debuted back in 1977. The toy measures 11" tall and 18" long and would be available exclusively from Diamond Comic Distributors. THIS WILL NOT BE FOUND IN ANY MASS MARKET CHAINS!!! Get your orders in today!!! Sandcrawler comes with two Jawas and A RA-7 Droid figure.. (pictures, descriptions, and all other info is preliminary and subject to change.)

The price is listed as $61.95

I am glad it was saved but for $61.95 it sounds more like a greased up 34 inch in diameter enema.

This was Talked about and confirmed LAST FRIDAY @ the UK Diamond comics seminar in bristol

It will ONLY be availible to retailers with Diamond account

I expect the price increase is due to the fact that less units will be made as opposed to say TARGET OR WALLMART so that pushes the price up

BUT Diamond are saving it and getting it made Just like they did on the Moes Tavern Playset ! so be thankful !

It's good to hear some of us will get this much awaited vehicle. I coulden't care less though. I think it's too small and plain to catch my interest. I'll save my money for the Ultra Wave.

They're currently taking pre-orders for $54.99. Not a huge difference, but cheaper nonetheless.
